Insurance Procurement & Claims Handling

Watson’s dedicated Insurance Manager is able to arrange bespoke insurance policies on behalf of our clients, through a wide panel of brokers and introducers to ensure great value for money and good quality cover is transparently obtained. Types of cover commonly placed include the following list, however bespoke cover can be arranged for most situations, however unusual:

  • Development Wide & Individual Buildings Insurance
  • Terrorism Cover
  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Directors & Officers Liability Insurance
  • Employers Liability Insurance (for development based staff such as concierge)
  • Statutory Engineering Policies (covering lift and pump safety)
  • Landlords Buildings/Contents Cover (for private landlords)

As our brokers place cover for many hundreds of developments across the UK, we are able to obtain favourable terms from insurers. This not only means that savings are often possible, but also that we can often arrange terms for higher-risk sites, such as developments located in high flood-risk areas.

Our insurance manager works closely with brokers and insurers over claims to submit and progress insurance claims swiftly and efficiently. We also work closely with the brokers and insurers used to place insurance by third parties such as freeholders and developers.
